Christmas miracles drive - 2025

For the past seven years, The Frederick County Christmas Miracles Drive has been serving families in and around Frederick County, by granting the needs and Christmas Wishes of children that are part of our Foster Community, are part of the Mental Health Association's Reunification Programs, or are part of the Children of Incarcerated Parents Program. 

Unlike other Christmas Programs, all of the children and special needs adults that we serve live right here in our community. Volunteers can sign up to help us deliver gifts, taking part in delivering Miracles to children that otherwise would not have Christmas (or the other holidays they might celebrate). We connect families in our community with families in our community, and every wish tag you select is linked to a real child right here in our area. 

The founder of our program grew up in a Foster Household and many years there was little under the tree. It was only through programs like this wish drive, Shop with a Cop, and Toys for Tots that she and all of her foster siblings were able to have Christmas most years. When she moved to Frederick County, she was contacted through her volunteer efforts with the foster coalition, to assist with a few families that had missed the deadline for other Christmas Giving programs in the region. The following year, a partnership began that has expanded to serve hundreds of  families each year. And each year, our program is the last program to close enrollment, accepting the wish lists of children going through emergency placements or removal all the way up until Christmas Eve, because every child deserves Christmas, but no child needs it more that a child that has lost everything they love, and everything that feels safe. 

Our program was founded by a partnership with the Frederick County Department of Children and Families and has continued through a Special Partnership with COIPP (Children of Incarcerated Parents Program) an the MHA. All of our drive recipients are screened by Social Workers that have personal knowledge of each child, adult, and family. We ensure that the goodwill of our community lifts up those in need IN OUR COMMUNITY. 

Many people don't know that there are dozens of adults with special needs in Adult Foster Care in and around Frederick County. If we have the wish list of an adult, they have been screened, and are in need of our support. Many of our adult recipients have intellectual challenges that may keep their interests more aligned with younger age groups, and that is not a mistake. Don't be surprised if you see a 45 year old woman asking for a My Little Pony or Barney Blanket or toy. Instead, bring a little magic into their already magical world! 

Absolutely! We have multiple ways that you can adopt a wish without driving down to FSK Mall. Every day we post Wish tags available for adoption on our Social Media Channels, Teeter Tots' Social Media Channels and we also have a Verified Venmo account you can donate through. You can choose to send general donations which will be applied to un-adopted wishes, or you can find a tag or wish list you see online, and place the tag number in the Memo when you send the donation, and we will grab that list and put your donation towards the list on that tag. 

If you would prefer to donate through Venmo, we have a verified Business Charitable Venmo Account - @ImATeeterTot 

You can send a contribution through that account and if you are wanting to sponsor a specific child, you can add the tag or ID in the memo line. We will send proof of the purchase after we send out our Miracle Shoppers. 

Yes, Grasshopper Grove and Cornerstone Frederick Church has graciously offered to host as our home locations this year, for which we are immeasurably grateful. You can stop by FSK Mall and adopt a wish off the tree or one of the tables throughout the mall.

Yes, it takes an army of volunteers to deliver Christmas to the hundreds of children and families we serve each holiday season. We are always looking for volunteers to work at our Wish Tables and trees, volunteers to help us sort and prepare the gifts for delivery, and volunteers to work overnight delivering Magic to the families we serve.
